The meteorologists are forecasting a
HARD FREEZE WARNING
For Friday and Saturday nights March 26th and 27th, 2010.
Temperatures are expected to be in the low 20s to 30s in our area.
Included in the list of plants to protect from these extremely low temperatures are plants in the following groups:
• All perennials with new growth or bloom.
• Azaleas, Gardenias, Camellias, Nandinas and Cherry Laurels( if the Cherry Laurel was planted
within the last year).
Protecting your plants:
Place all plants needing protection:
• Under the cover of a building roof.
• Inside a building or garage.
• Under burlap, cotton sheets or frost protective fabric; these are the best solutions for protection if
leaving plants outside of a building.
